Southern Water has appointed Economic Insight to provide expert advice on financeaiblity, following Ofwat’s publication of its guidelines on risk and reward. The regulator is currently reviewing the Business Plans submitted by the water and sewerage companies and will announce in March those companies whose plans are considered to be of sufficiently high quality to have an ‘enhanced’ status – which will result in lighter touch regulatory procedures.
