Ofcom has today published an additional consultation on revising annual licence fees for the 900 MHz and 1800 MHz spectrum bands. These two bands are used by mobile network operators for 2G and 3G, including voice calls and some 4G services. Ofcom’s latest proposals refelct a range of expert evidence provided by respondents in the consultations to date – including anlaysis provided by Economic Insight. Ofcom expects to publish a final decision on licence fees at the end of the year. Economic Insight is advising Hutchinson Three UK (Three Mobile) on this matter.
