Ofwat appoints Economic Insight to lead the design element of Water 2020. Economic Insight is working with Ofwat to help develop the regulator’s approach to the PR19 price control, as part of its Water 2020 Programme. Our role is to head up the initial work on the ‘design’ of the new regulatory framework, addressing in particular the scope for greater use of markets and upstream reform. Ofwat will publish its initial regulatory design for consultation later this year.
