Today, the European Commission (EC) announced that it has fined Scania €880m for participating in a price-fixing cartel for 14 years between 1997 and 2011. Five other truck manufacturers settled with the EC 14 months ago. Economic Insight has been hired by a number of major buyers to help quantify the damage caused by the cartel.
