Since joining Economic Insight, Tom has worked across our practice areas, including competition, litigation, regulation, and public policy. He is able to apply economic principles to answer clients’ questions in different situations and is especially skilled at analysing large and complex datasets.
Examples of projects Tom has worked on include: supporting Royal Mail and British Telecom in the follow-on claim for damages arising from the Trucks cartel being heard at the CAT; developing a tool for Electricity North West to assess the value of their activities in relation to their Stakeholder and Consumer Vulnerability Incentive package; and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sports (DCMS) in assessing the financial sustainability of the press-sector in the UK.
Before joining Economic Insight, Tom interned at the Bank of England, where he supported decision-makers in assessing the health of financial institutions across the UK.
Tom holds a First-Class undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Warwick.
